Doctrinal Statement
Mission Statement
We believe the Bible is the word of God, containing truth without mixture of error. The Bible reveals God in the three persons: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit, all of whom are equal in power and love.
We believe God created a good and perfect world, including human beings. He created everything after its kind. He created humans as male and female, and gave to them the freedom to make choices. While in the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve chose to disobey God, and thus sin entered the world, and thereby, evil and death.
Out of his abundant love, and by his own initiative, God sent his Son into the world, born of a virgin, and God's Son lived a sinless life. His Son was known as Jesus, the Christ. Jesus was rejected by the world, and was crucified, on a cross, but on the third day, God raised him from the dead. He has now ascended to the Father, and is sitting on the right hand of the Father. He will come again to rapture the church and later to judge the world.
We believe there is no other name given among men whereby we must be saved except the name of Jesus. Being saved means being born again. This salvation comes by the grace of God as a result of the faith of the repentant sinner in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who believe will be saved; those who do not will be lost. We believe the Holy Spirit operates in the life of people by convicting us of sin, convincing us that Jesus is the Son of God, and converting us from a life of sin to a life of righteousness. The Holy Spirit sustains the believer in a holy walk, and seals the believer for the purpose of doing ministry and glorifying God.
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, which is to say, the Church is the visible expression of Jesus Christ in the world today. Therefore the Church must continue the work of Jesus on earth until He comes.
